Leading up to Memorial Day Weekend- Eric and I got an awesome gift from his mom and stepdad, Donna and Robert McCarter (better known to the grandkids as Nana and GrandPop) --- their gift included keeping Jenna for a full week! This gift actually ended up giving us 2 gifts---- 1.) Eric and I had a much needed week at home just being together and celebrating the news that we are expecting another baby and also just getting to really enjoy each other and 2.)- Jenna came home such a happy girl...and since Riley passed away, she's really had a rough time being herself and her smile seemed to fade alot=== well, it's back! And Nana and Grandpop, Bradley, Tori, and Aunt Brandi and Uncle Mark.... well they really got the ball rolling, and then a fun filled weekend with all her cousins on my side, Jenna has really opened up and is herself again. Thanks everyone for being so wonderful to my baby girl! She loves everyone on both sides of our family so very much and I can tell that she's going to be just fine!
Memorial Day Weekend- Camp Buckhorn 2008!!!!!We all had an absolute blast this past weekend at Camp Buckhorn for the annual family reunion. This is my dad's side of the family; every year- he and all of his family, as well as his two sisters and their children and grand children all meet up at Camp Buckhorn on top of Paris Mountain, SC for a weekend in cabins and sitting around the campfire!

It was so good to see everyone and I can't wait to do it again next year!
Jenna really loved her Uncle Dave--- the other kids all call him Pop so she began calling him "Pop" or "Uncle Pop" and occasionally running over to her daddy to tell him "I really like my Pop! Now I have 2 Pops!" (She calls Eric's step dad "Pop" as well). She was really sad to have to say goodbye to all of her cousins, she had so much fun getting to know all of them! And she also enjoyed entertaining everyone with her wild dancing to the music on her dad's phone--- I can promise you that I laughed so hard that I cried watching some of the moves she had come up with for the "Peanut Butter Jelly" Song. Oh man I wish I had some pics of that to put up!!!!!!
On Monday night- we packed back up the car for a picnic and picked up my parents and went out to Freedom Weeken Aloft at Heritage Park in Simpsonville. Jenna wanted so badly to see the hot air balloons last year that I couldn't go another year of telling her no--- and boy did she get excited! The wind ruined it for a lot of the balloons, but 2 of them successfully made it off the ground and one of them was Jenna's favorite color - Purple! So she cheered and got really excited and that's what we were there for...and we'll hopefully be able to return next year to see all of them make it to lift off! Also- while waiting on the balloons to launch--- Jenna decided to play in the dirt. and by playing in the dirt, I mean rubbing her hands in it until they were coated, then applying dirt to her face as though it was the latest in make up foundation. She made for a very cute 'dirt princess'....but I had to put a stop to it and clean her up... the pictures don't even begin to show just how really dirty that child was!
Well- I will be posting again tomorrow night!!! Tomorrow is a big day for our family--- Eric and I get to see and hear the newest little member of the "pickle" family--- the first ultrasound! We pray that he/she is healthy and very active!!! Wish us luck!
love ya'll!
