She was getting ready for her first Father Daughter dance. They had a really great time and Jenna felt like a princess. They even took "prom photos" at the dance--- that's the last pic below! Jenna had a good time with her daddy at the dance and she can't wait to do it again next year! Lexie and I ordered a pizza, curled up on the couch and watched Princess and the Frog (for about the 1,342,615th time)... lol- that's a favorite in my household. But I know she can't wait until she's old enough to go with daddy to the Father Daughter dance too. :) then it's ladies night out for me! lol. :)
The dance was put together by Jenna's Girl Scout Troop-- Troop 2995. The purpose of the dance is for the Daddy's to be able to teach their daughters how a gentleman should behave on a date. Daddy's are encouraged to "set the bar high!" ...and I think Eric did an awesome job. He held Jenna's hand as she walked to the car, opened doors for her, and even danced with her even when I know he didn't really want to. (*cough cough* Jenna got him to do the YMCA dance with the other daddy's *cough cough*)... oh yeah- the bar is set pretty high. Jenna will expect nothing but the best treatment... that is, if her daddy ever actually allows her to date. As far as Eric is concerned...she's never allowed to date. haha. :)
