Italian Stuffed Shells Recipe

I have had more than a few ask for this recipe, so here it is! You're welcome! ~Stephanie

Italian Stuffed Shells  Serves 5-6 people

You will need:
  • 1 lb ground chuck beef
  • 1 packet of Cheese (Italian or Mozzarella, or a mix of both if you are doubling the recipe for more people! My husband loves cheese, so we add more regardless)
  • 2 boxes of Stouffer's Spinach Souffle (Helpful shopping advice: This is found at Publix or Lowe's Foods in the frozen food entree aisle - not in frozen veggie section where I first looked and thought it made sense LOL..)
  • 1 box of Jumbo Pasta Shells
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • Garlic seasoning
  • Olive Oil
  • PAM Cooking Spray (the kind with Olive oil is best, in my opinion)
  • Your favorite spaghetti sauce - whatever that is!
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 pot for boiling water, 1 skillet for cooking meat, 1 strainer, 1 mixing bowl and 2 casserole dishes

Step by Step Instructions:

1.  Note: You will brown your meat and prepare your pasta at the same time.  Fill a pot with water and add salt and olive oil.  Bring the water to a boil. Once it is boiling, add the jumbo shells. Cook for 10 minutes. 12 if you want them a little softer - but no more than 12 or you'll over cook them.
Drain the shells using a strainer - run some cold water over them to cool them off.

2. While waiting for the water to boil, go ahead and get out a skillet to brown your meat.  Add your meat to the skillet, and season with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic seasoning.
Drain your meat and add it to the mixing bowl.

3. Add cheese to the mixing bowl.

4. Stouffer's Spinach Souffle comes with instructions for cooking on the back- you are only going to the first 2 steps! (1. Remove film. 2. Cook in microwave on high for 6 minutes), then add to the mixing bowl.

5. BEFORE you get to mixing- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Go ahead and get out your casserole dishes and spray them down with PAM cooking spray. Also- don't forget to remove your rings and wash your hands! (I know you know that last part, but if I don't say it, the internet loses it's mind).

6. Mix everything well and stuff them into the shells, then place them in the casserole dishes. (FYI: The photo was taken when I had doubled the recipe to feed more.)

7. Top the shells with your favorite spaghetti sauce, then add Parmesan cheese.

8. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 35 minutes to finish cooking.

Serve and Enjoy!
